Spring Update: West Virginia Class of 2018 Rankings

With the start of their senior season on the horizon the West Virginia Class of 2018 rankings welcome the addition of 10 new players in this update. The current list now stands at 60 players with 23 players having already announced a college commitment. An update to the current PBR Class of 2019 overall rankings will follow in the near future.
The top four prospects in this class and five of the top ten, are pitchers with West Virginia commit Madison Jeffrey (Cabell Midland) leading the way at No. 1. Jeffrey impressed at a pair of Prep Baseball Report events over the past year rapidly moving up the rankings largely based on his upper 80s to low 90s fastball and command of a power breaking ball. At 6-foot, 200-pounds, the right-hander has a physical frame that could see him logging considerable innings at the next level.
The Hurricane Redskins, a perennial state contender in AAA, lead the way with two players in the top five spots and six players among the top 30 players in the rankings.
This class will have one final update scheduled to take place in June after the completion of the state tournament.
