CA RANKINGS UPDATE: CLASS OF 2023

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - As the High School baseball season is fully underway here in California, it is time for a look at our updated high school Player Rankings for the class of 2023. The #1 spot is once again held by Gavin Grahovac (Villa Park HS) who, while playing shortstop, has established himself as one of the premier hitting prospects in the state for his class.

There was some shuffling in the Top Five with No. 2 Nolan Stevens, No. 3 Aidan Keenan (up from No. 8), No. 4 Will Burns, and No. 5 Eric Bitonti (up from No. 10). The Top Five is loaded with talented hitters with Keenan establishing himself as the top pitching prospect in the class. Rounding out the Top 10 are No. 6 Landon Stump, No. 7 Ralphy Velazquez, No. 8 Roman Martin, No. 9 Cal Randall, and No. 10 Will Gasparino. 

With the expansion of the rankings to 250, we welcome 59 new players to the class rankings. 

Along with newcomers there are plenty of risers in the rankings. Some of the most significant risers are No. 27 C Luke Scherrer, No. 42 RHP Evan Miranda, No. 44 RHP Cristian Brewster, No. 47 RHP Brynner Waiolama, No. 49 C Blake Wilson, and No. 56 RHP Owen Geiss.
