ORINDA, CA - In an early season scrimmage that lasted about five innings, Encinal and Miramonte got in some work, both mixing in many of their pitchers on pitch counts. The starting position players of interest all played the full game and we got glimpses of some players that are notable in Northern California. Of most interest were powerful uncommitted 2019 1st baseman Adrese Azzani (R/R) of Miramonte (video) and uncommitted 2020 shortstop Jeriah Lewis (L/R) of Encinal (video). Also mentioned are 2020 centerfield Shamil Youngblood of Encinal and 2020 outfielder Declan Curran of Miramonte.
