New Episode LIVE now! - At The Yard Podcast
ORANGE, CALIF. - Our OC Top Prospects ID showcase took place this past Tuesday and we hosted several talented players from all classes in the one-day showcase. Players were put through a traditional pro style workout that included a laser timed 60 yard dash, two rounds of batting practice, and an extended defensive workout.
The event annually attracts plenty of talent as players look to earn invitations to some of our invite only events like our State Games, West Coast Games, and Future Games. With many talented players on hand we start our post event coverage with our Quick Hits highlighting 7 early standouts with some quick notes on how they performed.
We will continue to break down the top performers in multiple categories as we review notes/data, until then here are some early standouts in this edition of Quick Hits.
‘24 MINF Gabe Fraser of @HBHS_basebll is a name to remember. Dude raked in BP w/multiple 90mph+ EV’s. Consistent line drive stroke w/some elevation at times. Made Hart Park look smallish. Athlete on defense with good actions. @PBR_California @JoeyCohen20 @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/eSASEB885d

Really impressed with the overall game of ‘24 OF/3B Nate Kugler of @NDKNIGHTBASE. Huge OF arm w/accuracy to bags. Excellent, controlled footwork w/good routes. Flashes at 3B. Arm really pops there. Leaves you wanting to see more. @PBR_California @JoeyCohen20 @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/pB7cjB5WOX

Quick ? at @PBR_Uncommitted ‘23 @k2denw. Ran a 7.02 60-YD dash. Then had a loud BP showing + @Blast_Bsbl swing metrics (74mph bat speed, 21gs rotational acceleration, 80% on-plane efficiency) which produced multiple 90+EVs. Also showed an 88mph OF arm. @PBR_California @LesLukach pic.twitter.com/hnCjTfVaOy

Good look at ‘23 LHP Adam Arther of Pasadena Poly. Lots of deception caused from a funky arm action at 6’3” 195. It works though, he showed command of three pitches. Sitting behind gives you an idea of the discomfort you’d feel in the box. @PBR_California @JoeyCohen20 pic.twitter.com/jLXifXwqSh
