Uncommitted 2020 Spotlight: C Tyler Davis

FRESNO, CA. - Catchers can often find the recruiting process quite difficult, even clearly talented players. In California there are often MORE scholarship level D1 catching talents than there are opportunities for scholarship players at that level in the state. Often times a D1 program will have one, perhaps two catchers on scholarship, but it's also a position where college programs will look to get walk-ons, recruited or otherwise.
In the case of Davis, the good news is that he is MORE than a catcher, as he's also a talented and experienced 3rd baseman. He is being actively recruited but as of yet, no scholarship offers. We think that will change at some point, sooner or later. We most recently saw him at our Uncommitted Senior Games, here is what we've seen of 2020 C Tyler Davis of San Joaquin Memorial HS.
