2026 ROSTER
This year's roster is already shaping up nicely:
Cooper Cantrell C / OF / Martin Luther King Jr., CA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 50 / POS: 7
From 9/26/25: “Cantrell played well in his single game at Bushnell, under the lights, smashing an RBI triple into the left-center gap and flashing well-above-average speed for a catcher, getting to third with ease. Offensively, he features a balanced swing that works gap-to-gap, showing a patient approach and ability to work into good counts. Behind the dish, Cantrell impressed as a reliable backstop—posting average 2.0 pop times with carry on throws to 2B, showing he has the arm strength to control the run game. He blocks well, plays with toughness, and brings a hard-nosed mentality that stands out at the position. Despite a compact frame, Cantrell plays bigger than his size, and even in just one game at Bushnell, he left a strong impression as a backstop with both offensive impact and defensive reliability.” |
Aiden Echavarria RHP / 3B / Whittier Christian, CA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 225 / POS: 38
Deegan Martinez 1B / LHP / Arrowhead Christian Academy, CA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 80 / POS: 2
From 9/15/25: “Martinez showed well during his 2024 California State Games appearance competing against significantly older competition. From there he continued to develop and improve during his freshman season at Arrowhead Christian before posting a solid overall summer. Lukach had a chance to get a live look at Martinez during the SoCal Scout League at UC Irvine where his upward trending offensive profile with power potential from the LH side was on display. It's a small move up the board for Martinez, but unlikely to be his last push upwards as he continues to get better.” |
Ryan Kelly 3B / 1B / Los Osos High, CA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 207 / POS: 13
From 7/30/25: Positional Profile: 3B/1B |
Mason Park SS / 2B / Fullerton Union High, CA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 77 / POS: 19
From 6/4/25: “Park's profile continues to trend up after a strong showing during the SoCal Top Prospect Underclass in fall that carried into a strong spring on varsity at Fullerton Union and now with another strong performance at the OC Summer ID. The 5'9 167.3 lbs Park showed intriguing tools across the board from his 135.5 (RH Grip) and 149.6 (LH Grip) hand strength testing into a 7.22 60 yard dash with interesting actions on the INF during the defensive work. Park has clean footwork, soft hands while demonstrating present arm strength (86 MPH INF arm velo) showing carry and accuracy on his throws from all angles. During his batting practice Park showed his consistent feel for hard contact topping the event with an average exit velocity at 91.6 MPH with increasing impact in his profile with a peak exit velocity at 96.6 while reaching 360' max distance (slugged several HRs to straightaway LF during two rounds). His underlying batted ball data was strong across the board from a 62% hard hit rate, 75% sweet spot rate and 75% fly ball/line drive rate over two rounds of batting practice. Park is a strong follow in the 2027 class who flashes SS long term potential to go with up the middle defensive profile.” |
Logan Steenburgen RHP / OF / El Dorado High, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 128 / POS: 41
From 3/12/25: “Steenburgen delivers his sharpest outing of the season, throwing a 1-0 complete game shutout on Friday against El Modena. Steenburgen scattered 5 hits across his 7 innings of work, striking out 6 and walking none. Steenburgen improves to 2-0, with a SV on the season, striking out 18 over 17 innings.” |
Aidan Young OF / C / Villa Park, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 122 / POS: 23
From 12/9/25: “Aidan Young is one of two newcomers to our board this fall and to a man on our scouting staff here in SoCal will tell Young should have been on here much sooner. A RH hitting OF generally is a hard profile to capture eyes with unless you have the athleticism/ability to hit and impact in your bat to make people pay attention to you and Young very much boasts this type of skill set. He made a strong case in the summer of 2024 for a spot on the Team California roster at the Prep Baseball Future Games that summer. From there Young has hit the baseball with authority on a variety of different platforms while showing off sound corner defense in the OF with hints of the potential to handle CF. For good measure he has even flashed a sound defensive profile at catcher. Wherever Young winds up defensively one thing can be counted on that is he will hit and hit at a very high level for a lineup at the next level. He joins the board in the 122 slot and has the skills to move into the Top 100 before he graduates from high school.” |
