Easton Fernald 2B / SS / Franklin High, CA / 2027From: 5/16/25 "Fernald got the mid-season call up for the Wildcats and got thrown into the fire as an underclassman. For being a bit undersized, Fernald plays with a lot of fire and is still maturing over the course of the season. Fernald can play all over the infield but depending on how he will hit is going to be a question of if he sticks on the left side. When in the box, Fernald has an upright stance and really gets into his legs when he takes his hack. The two strikeouts during the game didn’t reflect his offensive image, Fernald competes at the plate and doesn’t get cheated. Sort of reminds me of some Dustin Pedroia which is refreshing to see. There is a lot of work to do still in the infield but he will mature and get better with more reps under his belt. Fernald will find himself on the dirt for the Wildcats in the near future, fun one to follow for the Wildcats."

Royal McKinney OF / RHP / Franklin, CA / 2027From: 5/28/25 "McKinney made a small backwards move in the rankings during his Fr. campaign, but now settling into a two-way role for the CIF-SJS championship Franklin squad while showing his loud tools in game situations with strong performance numbers to back them up and impressing in multiple live looks for Hank LoForte he pushes back into the Top 20. In 121 plate appearances McKinney put up a .359 average with a .872 OPS walking 14 times, scoring 33 runs, doubling seven times, tripling once and putting up 22 RBIs. In addition the live arm of the NorCal based Soph. threw 27.1 innings while striking out 31 hitters, winning two games, earning one save and putting up a 2.87 ERA."
