Finally decompressed from 50-plus hours of baseball over a four-day span at the WWBA World Championship, it’s time to examine the highly impressive performances delivered by Illinois players. While I saw Illinois-based teams and players multiple times during the event, I did not see every game, and therefore missed some excellent individual efforts, such as LHP Robert Talarico’s (Joliet Township HS, 2015) complete-game, seven-strikeout shutout against Marucci Elite for Cangelosi Baseball.
