CLASS 1A

OTTAWA MARQUETTE

Sam Mitre, 1B, Marquette, 2025
Parkland commit. Physical 5-foot-11, 220 pound frame. Started at first base and hit out of the three-hole. Had an impressive day at the plate going 3-for-3 with one RBI. Balanced setup with a small leg lift into stride. Slight uphill bat path that is direct to the ball. Had three hard hit singles on the day, the final one resulting in the walkoff hit for Marquette, earning them the 1A State Title. A bat to keep an eye on as he heads to college.
