Winners

+ '27 OF Mason Cornell (Bullitt East, Kentucky) turned in the biggest performance of the day, carrying a super heavy barrel to the left-side of the dish during batting practice. The tempo is controlled throughout with tons of strength in the lower half that helps the physical, 6-foot-2, 205 pounder produce present plus bat speed. The path is short and direct, geared towards producing backspin contact, with present power and exits to the tune of 109 mph on the top-end. The raw power here is some of the best in the region (max distance of 419 feet), warranting a must follow prospect this spring, summer, and leading up to August 1. Cornell moves well for being so physically advanced, as he turned in a 7.08 60-yard dash while also showing serviceable hands and feet in the outfield with average arm strength (83 mph).

+ '26 LHP/OF Clay Austin (Floyd Central) was the biggest winner on the Indiana side, showcasing a clean left arm that establishes a safe floor. The compact, 6-foot, 200 pounder uses a simple delivery that is balanced, and creates abv avg hip-to-shoulder separation to allow the arm to whip thru with a fastball that sat 84-85. He showed some spin manipulation with a low-70s CB & SL, both abv avg pitches in their own regards. His 75-77 split was well-executed with some later dive to round out a solid four-pitch mix. There was at least abv avg feel shown for all pitches to leave starters' upside. Offensively, the stocky right-handed hitter showed off above average bat speed with exits reaching 97-plus to go along with an 87 mph outfield arm.

+ '26 C Lincoln Kruer (Providence) is a hard-nosed So. Indiana backstop that continues to show growth. The 5-foot-9, 175 pounder showed offensive improvements with a more-athletic, more-rhythmic operation than I've seen of him previously, reaching a peak exit of 93-plus while spraying line drives from gap-to-gap. Defensively, he hangs his hat on a high-motor behing the dish with solid receiving skills. He showed an average arm from the crouch with a quicker transfer and pops into the 2.1's.

+ '27 SS Luke Jacobi (Floyd Central) was a winner on the defensive side, my favorite defender of the event. He is undersized at 5-foot-6, 140 pounds, but the feet and hands are really advanced on the infield. He showed a knack for picking the right hop with very soft glove actions, a quick release, and an 82 mph arm across. He is a 7.09 runner, but the feet play quicker laterally. Offensively, Jacobi showed a simple, short, right-handed swing geared towards contact, with line drives coming off the bat at a peak exit of 86 mph.

+ '28 RHP/3B Noah Mott (Providence) came to our Freshman All-State in February, and continues to show the makings of a solid freshman follow. His frame stands at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds with some present physicality and room in the frame to project more growth. His highest ceiling appears to be on the mound, where he worked in-line with some rawness to the delivery, and showed present above average arm strength for the class. The fastball came out at 78-82, and he showed a developing slider that played more cutter-ish in the mid-70s. His best present secondary is his low-70s curveball - which plays with glove-side depth while spinning in the 22-2300s. His mid-70s split shows upside, a pitch that he kills spin on, and there is abv avg feel for the zone present with all four pitches. Mott showed off strength for the class with a 90-plus exit from the right-side of the dish, along with average actions at 3B with developing athleticism shown there.
