Scouting Report
5'8" 160 lbs. frame. The Barbe product has been a household name ever since he was 10 years old, so we were excited to see him make his high school debut last Thursday against Live Oak and Flowermound, and he did not disappoint. The LSU recruit took mature at-bats, over the course of the two games, and they were all against quality arms. He blistered an opposite field triple against Live Oak that proved to be the only hit that Jude Weller would give up in the game. Griffin then led off the Flowermound game with an opposite field single off a TCU commit, and finished the game with a pull-side single to right field. What was equally impressive were his takes, as he showed an innate ability to pick the ball up early out of the pitchers hand, which is likely why he has elite strike-zone awareness.
