With 2024 now in the past, Prep Baseball Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2025. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2025 Spring Team Preview: Monroe Central Seminoles

Team Name: Monroe Central Seminoles
Head Coach: Chris Leasure
Division: VI
2024 Record: 10-17
2024 Tourney Finish: Sectionals loss to Caldwell
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5

Coach Outlook: "This 2025 Monroe Central team will not be rebuilding in the sense of a pitching or defense but mostly rebuilding the offense. This team is seasoned with 3 year starters in the infield with the junior class but will return all but 22 innings of pitching. The offense has lost a ton of run production that we look to be replenished by the junior class, consisting of Mason Landefeld, Caleb Griffith and Caedyn Silva. The sophomore class also should provide production with Preston Binegar, Max Demchak as returning starters and Drew Landefeld stepping into a bigger role this season as well. The senior group shows promise on the mound but as the returning ace of the staff, Austin Bettinger is back with classmates Ryder Muntz and Wes Loch. I would look for us to turn the page on being competitive this season and putting ourselves into a position to succeed come tournament time."
