With 2024 now in the past, Prep Baseball Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2025. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2025 Spring Team Preview: Whetstone Braves

Team Name: Whetstone Braves
Head Coach: Tim Broskie
Division: II
2024 Record: 18-8
2024 Tourney Finish: Sectional Semifinals loss to Reynoldsburg
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2/4

Coach Outlook: "Whetstone loss 10 Seniors from last years team. This year will be an interesting year to see how well and how quick the returning letterman (7) and very talented Freshman class improve and gell together."

2025 Team Strengths:

  • The Braves team is very hungry and eager to learn and get better every day. We have a bunch of very hard workers who have put in a lot of time in the Fall and Winter.

  • Dallas Adler- Senior-1B/LHP. 304 AVG, 32 Runs, 19 RBI's,21 SB's. 21 Innings, 35k'S, 3-0-1, 0.33 ERA
  • Jonas Conn- Senior- CF/LHP. 369 AVG, 26 Runs, 19RBI's, 24SB's. 14 Innings, 23K's, 3-0, 2.50 ERA
  • Liam Shea- Senior- Catcher. 407 AVG, 18RBI's, 13 Runs
  • Joe Tayal- Senior OF/P. 143 AVG. 13 Innings, 3-1, 28K's, 5.67 ERA
  • Oliver Hittle- Sophomore 3B/P. 273 AVG, 14 Runs. 6 Innings, 1-0
