Bret Schwartz and Max Fisher
Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

We are off to an explosive start in the Sooner State. As the season progresses, we will be putting out our weekly scout blog providing added color to the prospects that caught our attention.  We go beyond the limited number of characters that twitter allows to give more in-depth analysis on the prospects.  Continue to follow along through our social channels this spring as we continue to provide unparralled coverage of all things Oklahoma High School baseball.

Stillwater at Piedmont

Catcher Lindley RHP / OF / Piedmont, OK / 2025

Rankings  StateRank: 31 / POS: 11
Lindley picked up the opening day start against Stillwater and was sharp in his first outing of the year. The uncommitted right-hander worked the fastball up to 89.5 while comfortably sitting in the mid 80s. The secondary pitches showed the ability to attack both RHH and LHH alike, with the changeup working armside tunneled with his fastball.  The delivery is as clean as we’ve seen it in the past and the arm still works very quickly.  He showed real pitchability as he navigated a stingey Stillwater lineup.

FB: 85-87, T89.5
SL: 74-75
CH: 73-76

Nathan Ma 2B / OF / Piedmont, OK / 2025

Ma showed the versatility a lineup strives for out of the 2-hole against Stillwater. He showed the ability to go the other way for a triple in the first, executed with a runner at third and less than two outs in his next AB with a sac fly to CF, and added a bunt hit in his third at bat of the day. The uncommitted OF used the entire field as well and will be an important piece for Piedmont this spring.
