2026 OSSAA Team Preview: OCS Saints
January 22, 2026
The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.
Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

Coach’s Insight: “This year our team is a year older and more mature. We have depth on the mound and at the plate. A lot of our younger guys got playing time last year in big games and that is going to help us with this year. Maturity will be our strength. Our team weaknesses is pitching depth. We have really good arms and some arms that are not yet proven. ” – Romus Cezar, head coach
Outlook: The Saints are coming off a 21 win campaign a season ago with heightened expectations despite the loss of valuable pieces to graduation. They will be driven by a core of upperclassmen that are battle tested and have an opportunity to take another step in 2026. From the jump, expect the Saints to pitch at a high level in 3A with an opportunity to compete for a state title as the bullpen develops throughout the season. We anticipate Coach Cezar and his staff will have their squad playing at their best in May with their supporting cast of position players and arms growing throughout the spring.
