2026 OSSAA Team Preview: Pryor Tigers

Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

Coach’s Insight: “[A strength will be our] leadership; We have a core of experienced players returning that have played in some significant games. [A potential weakness will be [Pitching Depth and questions on who will play in the outfield.” – Gerald Osborne, head coach

Outlook: Coach Osborne's club returns a balanced group following a state semifinal run that included a district title a year ago. The experience of the Tigers will show through with both returners and upperclassmen transfers that have produced previously. Offensively, they return a core that excelled a season ago that includes District Player of the Year Gavin Roberts. This will be one of the more steady, balanced teams in all of 5A with lofty expectations of competing for a state title. Pryor finds themselves on a short list of teams to watch for the 5A title in 2026.
