JUCO Player Spotlight - NOC ENID: Jordan Coffey

Scott Hood
Staff Writer

The uncommitted Covid-Freshman catcher is putting together some impressive numbers this Spring for the Jets.  His 14 home runs this season ranks him near the top across all JUCO levels and has him third in Division 2.  He's backing that up with a solid .306 average and 5 doubles with his slugging percentage reaching an eye-popping .859.  The wide-bodied frame provides a good target and receives the ball well with strong wrists and quiet glove.  Good overall arm strength with pop times ranging around 2.0 with good accuracy on the bag.  Coffey projects to stay behind the plate at the next level while providing a power game at the plate and solid defensive skills.
