As the summer heats up in Kansas City, baseball fever is about to reach a new peak with the highly anticipated Prep Baseball KC Summer Championships. This exclusive, invite-only tournament brings together some of the nation’s top youth teams for a week of elite competition at two of KC’s premier baseball complexes: Creekside Baseball Park and Homefield Baseball Complex. Known for their state-of-the-art facilities and prime locations, these venues provide the perfect backdrop for intense summer baseball action.

Set to kick off on Thursday, June 12th and run through Monday, June 16th, the tournament features a 4-game guarantee and boasts an impressive lineup of 117 teams representing 12 different states. Creekside Baseball Park, just 15 minutes from KCI Airport, offers six fully lit fields with turf infields, batting cages, turf bullpens complete with plyo-walls and mounds, plus covered dugouts and bleachers. The on-site Holiday Inn Express makes it convenient for teams and families traveling in. Meanwhile, Homefield Baseball Complex, located 25 minutes from the airport and adjacent to the Legends shopping center, hosts eight brand-new fully turfed diamonds equiped with trackman units, individual batting cages for each field, turf bullpens, covered dugouts, and two concession stands. Together, these two complexes combine for 14 top-tier fields that promise nonstop, high-level baseball throughout the week.

History of the Summer Championships

What began as the Creekside Summer Championships has grown into one of our premier events of the summer. As we’ve expanded to 14 fields across two complexes, the Prep Baseball KC Summer Championships have grown right alongside us. In 2023, the tournament featured 15U–17U divisions with 58 registered teams. Fast forward to 2025, and we now welcome 117 teams across the 14U–18U age groups.

Let’s take a look back at last year’s champions:
