RHP Ashe Russell (Cathedral HS, IN), the No. 2 prospect in the Overall Rankings, grabbed headlines this summer when he de-committed from Notre Dame. After hearing from about 20 schools, Russell narrowed his list to South Carolina and Texas A&M. He ultimately chose the Aggies.

 + RHP Bo Weiss (Regis Jesuit HS, CO), the son of Rockies manager Walt Weiss and one of the top 2016 prospects the state, committed to North Carolina. The younger Weiss has always been drawn to the Tar Heels, as his father went there from 1983-1985.
