VA/DC Unsigned Senior Games

Drumgold is 5-10 with an 185 pound frame that has strength present. He hits from the left side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, uphill swing path with some strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a good approach using the whole field, shows extra base power to all fields with a chance to access some more to his pull side, exit velocity was 93. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short very quick loose arm action, position velocity was 91. Showed accuracy on his throws. Ran a 6.92 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, long free quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and on line, lands on line with an athletic finish. Fastball was 81-86, with some downward angle and a bit of late run to armside. Curveball was 63-68 with some armspeed and sharp 10/4 break to it. Change-up was 74-75 with some armspeed and late sink.

PreSeason All-State East

Drumgold is 6-0 with a lankier athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left. He hits from the left side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and fast to the ball, uphill swing path, strength at contact with extension through the ball, showed a predominantly pull approach with some natural loft built in and power that way with extra base power present to all fields, exit velocity was 93. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, very short loose arm action, position velocity was 84. Showed versatility taking balls in the infield as well. Ran a 6.98 60 yard dash.

Preseason All-State II

Drumgold is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an upright slightly open stance, short stride on line, quiet load down and back. Hips rotate some, maintains good lower half balance, hands are inside and short to the ball, gets extension through contact, slightly uphill path, exit velocity was 80. In the outfield, gets behind ball and fields with above average hands, works through the ball to a clean release, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, velocity was 83. Ran a 4.13 home to first.

Drumgold is  5-9 with an athletic frame that still has projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an athletic stance, short leg kick stride on line, slight load back, wraps a bit. Hips rotate quickly and maintains good balance during swing. Keeps hands inside, short to ball, level swing. Swing generates line drives and he uses the whole field, exit velocity was 84. In the outfield, rounds ball and fields towards his target with above average hands. Quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, outfield velocity was 81.

VA/DC Scout Blog

Drumgold showed speed and athletic actions, arm action is free in the outfield with the potential for arm strength in the future. Hits from the left side, at the plate showed ability to use the whole field with a short swing and some batspeed as well as some strength at contact. Ball jumped off bat and showed pop to all fields with a double deep down the leftfield line. Interesting prospect to follow as he continues to develop.

2019 Diamondskills All-American Camp

5-foot-8, 160 pound solid athletic frame. Ran a 7.16 60. Athletic in line stance, uses a short lift to stride, and hands make slight movement back on load. Hands are direct and the bat has a flat path and gets uphill post contact. Exit velo was 76 mph. Defensive movements are fluid and feet are active through the catch. Showed ability to use different footwork patterns while making various plays in the outfield. Hands are soft and exchange at center to a long arm action with a high three-quarter release. Moved easy to fly balls and got behind it at catch. Showed a positional velo of 77 mph.
