Mechanicsville hosted visiting Atlee on Wednesday night. The Mechanicsville Mustangs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second when 2023 Aaron Maxie doubled down the left field line, scoring Dallas Hairfield. Mechanicsville would continue to expand on that lead as CJ DiNapoli, Ethan Serrano, Dylan Robbins, and Cameron Lamb came up with hits in the middle innings. CJ DiNapoli had the only multi-hit night for the Mustangs, and he also scored two of their seven runs. Brett Allen (UMass-Amherst) got the win on the mound for Mechanicsville. He went five innings, scattered two hits, and struck out seven along the way. 2021 Jalen Strattman closed out the last two innings and struck out six in those two frames. Final score was 7-1 in favor of Mechanicsville.
