Kentucky landed a big commitment this week in RHP Ben Jordan (West Carter HS, KY). Jordan was one of the top uncommitted prospects in the country. Standing at 6-foot-9, 210 pounds, he can sit 88-91 with his fastball, touching 92. His curveball has been impressive this spring, sitting in the mid 70s with sharp break and depth. That gives the Wildcats three recruits in the top 50 of Prep Baseball Report’s 2017 Overall Rankings. Also committing to Kentucky this week was 2017 RHP Trip Lockhart (Lexington Catholic HS, KY). He touches the high 80s and mixes in a good slider too.
