X-FACTOR

INF Logan Vande Zande (2026; uncommitted) has high expectations going into this season. Athleticism and strength showing throughout his long-levered frame, standing at 6-foot-3, 196-pounds. At the plate, he has an easy look to his swing displaying power with a maximum exit velocity of 97 mph. Going into his junior season, Vande Zande has a high ceiling and gets better and better every time we see him, translating the power in game on a consistent basis will be something that could add another element to otherwise balanced offense.

TEAM OUTLOOK

“The 2025 Falls team has a chip on their shoulder as their historic 2024 season ended in the regional final. Pitching and defense will set the tone for the season as we play in a great conference and a very competitive non-conference schedule. ” – Tim Gotzler, head coach

Menomonee Falls has a strong and deep pitching staff returing to the rotation are RHP Jayden Forbes (2025, Southeastern CC) and RHP Cail Geiger (2026) are big names for them.

Forbes showcases impressive strength with his 6-foot-1, 203-pound frame. The Southeastern CC commit attended the Wisconsin State Games last summer and has a fastball that reaches up to 87 mph with an average spin rate of 2450 rpm. He will play a vital role in the pitching staff this spring. Last spring Forbes pitched to a 1.22 ERA while pitching in a lot of big innings for the Phoenix.

Geiger is one of the top returing arms and saw immediate success on the mound as a sophomore, going 6-2 with a 1.70 ERA as a sophomore while enroute to a First Team All-Conference selection. Feel for four pitches, including two different fastballs that can reach 90 mph paired with two secondaries that have complement the arsenal.

RHP Anderson Stehli (2026) is another capable arm for the Phoenix to go to, has ran his fastball up to 83 mph in the past with life and is complimented with three secondaries, including a cutter, slider, and changeup.

OF/P Matthew Nemec (2026; uncommitted) and INF/P Cade Kosnick add depth to both the staff and to the lineup.

Nemec displays a strong 6-foot, 200-pound frame. He has an easy and on-time swing and is powerful at the plate with an exit velocity of 98 mph. On the mound, he stays tall and athletic through his delivery with a fastball up to 87 mph.

INF Henry Lynde (2025; uncommitted), OF Riley Kempf (2025; MSOE), and INF Drew Browne (2026; uncommitted) will contribute heavily to this stacked offense.

Lynde is a longer 6-foot-1, 181-pound frame with some lean lower-body strength. At the plate, he is loose and rhythmic and brings back a .389 batting average to the lineup, while in the field, he is a steady presence on the left-side of the infield.

Kempf is highly athletic with balanced swing and uses the entire field. The athletiscm translates to defense, a confident defender capable of playing all three spots with ease.

BOTTOM LINE

With a deep and powerful pitching staff, a strong junior class, and an experienced group committed to TEAM-first baseball, Menomonee Falls is projected to have another great season and aims to stay at the top of their conference.
