Last week, the 2020 Overall Rankings were updated. Below are some notable risers from the sophomore class.

Carter Baumler, RHP/OF, Dowling Catholic HS, IA
Baumler stands at 6-foot-2, 187 pounds with lean strength throughout and touches 90 mph on the mound with minimal effort. He works linearly down the mound with a still head at release. He pitches out of a high-3/4 slot without much use of his lower half. The pitch has heavier arm-side life at times and he routinely throws it to the bottom of the zone. His slider is tight at 77-79 and looks to be a future out pitch. It has short, late break. Also a 6.81 60 runner, he is an excellent defender in the outfield and his athleticism should allow him to continue to make quick advancements. At the plate, he has a simple approach with a short stride that allows his hands to work the barrel fast and uphill through the zone with strength.
