This Saturday, March 1st, the Prep Baseball Illinois team is hosting the Preseason All-State Upperclass Showcase at The Max in McCook, IL. This is an invite-only event for all high school classes (2025-26), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click HERE. For a complete look at those registered to attend this event, view the most up-to-date version of the roster by clicking HERE.

EVENT HISTORY

We've been hosting this event for the past 13 years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events, like the Prep Baseball Future Games and Illinois State Games. Among the players in attendance at this event in 2024, there are already 108 commitments among them.

Last year's roster also featured three of the six from the state of Illinois that participated in this year's Super 60 event held earlier this month; as well as, from last year's Underclass Showcase, a Prep Baseball All-American, MIF Ethan Bass (Glenbrook North, 2026; Wake Forest). INF CJ Deckinga (Minooka, 2025; Michigan State), 1B/LHP Conor Essenburg (Lincoln-Way West, 2025; Kentucky), and C Enzo Infelise (Providence Catholic, 2025; Cincinnati) were in attendance at the 2025 Super 60 as well as last year's Preseason All-State Upperclass Showcase.

We're looking forward to checking in on the next crop of talent from this event to earn next-level attention in the coming weeks, months, and years.

2025 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

MIF Ethan Bass (Glenbrook North, 2026; Wake Forest) As mentioned earlier, Bass, a former Prep Baseball All-American, is the top prospect in the state’s 2026 class and a top 25 prospect in the nation. Bass has flashed an EV of 101 mph while running a 6.92 60-yard dash and throwing 89 mph across the infield.

MIF Landon Thome (Nazareth Academy, 2026; Tennessee) One of the top recruits in Illinois’ 2026 class will be back for the second year in a row. Thome was a Future Game participant this past August where he showed a 94 mph exit velocity and threw 85 mph across the infield. Thome also ran a 6.82 60-yard dash. An all-around prospect to follow.

INF Kamrin Jenkins (Oswego, 2026; Missouri) At 6-foot, 180-pounds, Jenkins is another former Future gamer that will be in attendance this weekend, The right-handed infielder had shown exit velocities up to 95.6 mph while throwing 86 mph across the infield and running a 7.03 60-yard dash. Jenkins should continue to breakout at Saturday’s event.

OF Nolan Ramoley (Brother Rice, 2026) A huge winner from this past summer’s Future Games, Ramoley is a physical 6-foot-1, 210-pound with strength throughout. We have seen EVs up to 104.3 mph while running a 6.53 60-yard dash. Ramoley has been clocked at 92 mph from the outfield.

INF/RHP Jory Crocker (Willowbrook, 2026) is another winner from this past summer’s Future Games where he impressed as a two way. Offensively, Crocker ran a 6.74 60-yard dash and was up to 100 mph EV while throwing 88 mph across the infield. On the mound, he has flashed his fastball up to 89 mph with a feel for offspeeds.

RHP Connor Elenteny (Mount Carmel, 2026) At 6-foot-3, 207-pounds, Elenteny is the top ranked right hander out of Illinois 2026 class. With a three pitch mix, Elenteny has flashed the fastball up to 93 mph while sitting 89-92 mph, a curveball at 76-77 mph with an avg. spin rate of 2316, and a changeup at 77-79 mph.

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a Prep Baseball showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS
