With the 2024 Overall Rankings set to update and expand, On the Hunt dives into “9 to Know” as Shooter Hunt looks at nine players that college coaches will want to highlight as ones to follow this summer and beyond.

Schweitzer has already found his way into some varsity time and at-bats for Kentucky-power, Trinity, and looks like he will have a chance to continue developing as a high-level hitter. The athletic, 6-foot, 180-pounder gets quality use of the hips with standout rotational acceleration and an impressive 93 mph exit velocity. The swing is simple and explosive as the controlled aggression allows Schweitzer to find consistent loud barrels with present gap-to-gap strength. The 7.0-runner moves well side to side, and the glove-to-hand transitions stand out at a young age along with a quick, athletic release that features some whip to the arm action. Overall, there is plenty to like about Schweitzer’s future, and as part of a program like Trinity, you can expect him to continue developing. |
