The 2017 Overall Rankings debuted recently, highlighting the top 25 sophomores in Prep Baseball Report’s coverage area. To introduce the 2017 class, the Hotlist looks at the top 2017 from each state represented in the initial list. They are listed below alphabetically.

Tyler Brown, RHP, Crestview HS, OH
Brown has a big, strong body at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds strong build and showed arm strength this summer. His fastball ranges from 87-91 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. He tends to get on the side of his slider, giving it slurvy action at 73-75. He also mixes in a changeup at 73-74 and maintains good arm speed on the pitch. He debuted at No. 7 overall.
