GALLATIN, TN - The Prep Baseball Nashville Preseason ID was held on Sunday, February 2nd at Liberty Creek HS. Players went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60-yard dash using Vald Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to get numbers and metrics on TrackMan during a bullpen setting. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Concluding our post-event coverage for the event, we take a look at the scouting reports on all pitchers who attended the Nashville Preseason ID.

PITCHER REPORTS

Rhett Hayes, Giles County High School (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-7, 143-pounds. Compact frame that works efficiently, Showed athleticism with everything he did
Delivery: Works quickly through his windup, Pitches with good intent, Rotates behind his lead leg well
Arm Action: RH. Whippy arm action, Glove side and arm work in sync together, Shorter arm action that comes from a 3/4 arm slot
FB: T81, 78-80 mph. Fb was in the zone consistently, Kept it low in the zone,Showed ability to work it on both sides of the plate T1972, 1870 average rpm.
CB: 67-68 mph. Similar shape to SL, was more consistent in the zone, landing it for a strike will be key T1972, 1738 average rpm.
SL: 68-71 mph. Developing feel for SL, Had good shape to it T2053, 1876 average rpm.
CH: 72-73 mph. CH showed good fade and speed difference from FB, Showed potential to be a really effective pitch T1542, 1451 average rpm.

Asher Webb, Cherokee (GA), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 5-9, 158-pounds. Athletic frame, As he adds strength to his frame well see jumps on the field as well
Delivery: Smooth mechanics, simple and easy delivery. Good use of his lower half
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 release, longer arm action that times up with his lower half well
FB: T84, 81-83 mph. FB plays up and down, High release gives him good back spin. Can see when he is down in the zone he has good down angle to his FB T2169, 2074 average rpm.
CB: 66-68 mph. CB has a distinct movement profile from SL, Good feel for getting it in the zone T2078, 2042 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. Spins the slider well, when he throws it low in the zone it could be a good swing and miss pitch, developing feel for the pitch T2398, 2326 average rpm.
CH: 74-76 mph. Kills spin well, When in the zone it could be effective, Needs to be used to generate weak contact T1636, 1450 average rpm.

Wyatt Ayers, Columbia Academy (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/SS
Body: 5-9, 166-pounds. Compact frame but twitchy, showed good clean actions
Delivery: Gets good momentum down the mound, Showed good lead leg block, Has a slower windup tempo but has good intent as he gets to foot strike
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action that at time can be pushy, Comes from a 3/4 arm action
FB: T79, 76-78 mph. FB has good down ward angle at times, FB profiles like it will work best moving it up and down rather and in and out T2065, 1783 average rpm.
CB: 61-69 mph. CB was tight, At times commanded it well, Pairs well with FB T2107, 1983 average rpm.
CH: 69-71 mph. CH has some bite down to the arm side, Commanded it well T1547, 1504 average rpm.

Will Platz, Fred J Page (TN), 2028
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 5-10, 170-pounds. Medium frame, Still has room to grow in into his body
Delivery: Smooth mechanics, Aggressive delivery, works at a quicker pace
Arm Action: RH. Arm is very whippy and comes from a 3/4 arm action- Could jump on the hitters
FB: T82, 79-81 mph. FB had life to it, Keeping it in the zone will set up his breaking and offspeed pitches well, T2180, 2094 average rpm.
SL: 70-72 mph. SL has tight spin and late action, Movement is more horizontal than depth, Lot of RHH will roll over this pitch T2200, 1999 average rpm.
CH: 64-75 mph. Showed the ability to fade this pitch, If in the zone lefties will be out front of this pitch regularly T1776, 1694 average rpm.

Hunter Wilson, Giles County (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/C
Body: 5-8, 170-pounds. Medium Frame, Room for mass to be added, Displayed clean actions all day
Delivery: Simple up and down delivery, Very balanced and controlled
Arm Action: RH. Short quick arm action, Tends to push the ball, Compact arm action that comes from a 3/4 arm action, Long arm action
FB: T73, 72-73 mph. Worked ball around the zone, staying in the zone will help set up his other pitches T1861, 1732 average rpm.
CB: 67-69 mph. Big break to his CB, Developing feel for it T2052, 1981 average rpm.
SL: 68-68 mph. SL is tight and showed late action, was consistently in the zone, Will be his best secondary pitch T1948, 1948 average rpm.
CH: 69-71 mph. CH had good down action to it, Killed spin on it well, Could become a plus pitch for him T1371, 1324 average rpm.

Jack Whitworth, Homeschool (TN) (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 157-pounds. Has a taller lenky frame with longer limbs, Adding to his frame will enhance his game
Delivery: Pitches out of the stretch only with a narrow setup, Hands stay neutral, Drifts into foot strike well
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action that comes over the top from a high slot
FB: T74, 70-74 mph. FB IVB indicates it will get swing and miss up in the zone T1566, 1417 average rpm.
CB: 63-65 mph. CB is thrown with good intent, Had glimpses of a good shape, Could pair well with FB T1331, 1217 average rpm.
CH: 66-67 mph. CH profiles like his FB well, Good speed difference T1192, 1115 average rpm.

Max Long, Smith County High School (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/RHP
Body: 6-0, 173-pounds. Medium frame with proportional limbs, Displayed nice controlled actions
Delivery: Smaller leg lift, Quiet hands through delivery, Still some power to be used in the lower half to aid in developing additional velocity
Arm Action: RH. Short quick arm action, Comes from 3/4 arm action
FB: T80, 79-80 mph. Commanded his FB well, All FB were in or around the zone T1966, 1854 average rpm.
CB: 63-66 mph. Late action on the CB, Developing feel for pitch T1974, 1909 average rpm.
CH: 72-74 mph. CH showed good arm side run and depth, Will help keep hitters off the FB T1449, 1398 average rpm.

JP Scott, Milan (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/C
Body: 6-1, 165-pounds. Lenky frame with longer arms, Will for sure aid in his development as he continues to grow into his frame
Delivery: Simple motion, Very repeatable, Higher temp delivery
Arm Action: RH. Shorter arm action, 3/4 arm slot, Keeps his arm hidden well
FB: T80, 79-80 mph. Advanced feel for the zone with FB, Kept the ball down in the zone, Setups up offspeed well T2173, 2115 average rpm.
CB: 68-70 mph. Good feel for the pitch, Showed both a put away and one to land for a strike T1641, 1573 average rpm.
CH: 73-74 mph. CH has good arm side action, Could be swing and miss for LHH, Landing it for a strike will be key T2062, 2029 average rpm.

Burton Moore, Columbia Central (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 200-pounds. Bigger frame, visible strength and athleticism in his movements
Delivery: Slower tempo from the wind up, Allows his lead hip to take him down the mound, Has even more juice in his lower half
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, High over the top arm action, Uses a glove tap to time up his delivery
FB: T90, 87-90 mph. FB could really play up in the zone, Showed good late life and swing and miss potential T2376, 2308 average rpm.
CB: 75-75 mph. CB has good bite to it, Was in the zone consistently, Will play great off his FB T2322, 2278 average rpm.
SL: 75-76 mph. SL has similar movement profile as CB, At times it had more horizontal movement, Down in the zone will fool a lot of hitters T2357, 2342 average rpm.
CH: 80-83 mph. CH has good downward fade, LHH will have trouble staying on plane with this pitch T1670, 1614 average rpm.

Bek Ramer, Brentwood Academy (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-11, 193-pounds. Bigger frame, Has a good foundation of strength, Developing a feel for his body
Delivery: Simple repeatable motion, Has a calm motion through leg lift but as ramps up the intent as lead foot lands
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, Arm can be whippy and showed some arm speed, 3/4 arm slot
FB: T81, 80-81 mph. FB has some arm side run, Has some life to it, Plays up from what velo indicates T1901, 1797 average rpm.
CB: 65-66 mph. CB has some bite to it, Commands it well T1693, 1624 average rpm.
SL: 65-65 mph. SL has similar movement profile as CB, Showed more side to side movement at times T1581, 1581 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. CH was commanded down in the zone well, Will keep hitters off his FB and provides him with a good 3 pitch mix T1833, 1774 average rpm.

Cooper Lamberth, Davidson Academy (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-0, 214-pounds. Big frame that has a lot power potential, Saw it in spurts but could really showcase it in the future as he develops more
Delivery: Upbeat tempo to his delivery, Still some juice left in his legs
Arm Action: RH. Shorter arm action that from a high slot
FB: T80, 78-80 mph. FB played low in the zone, Hit spots on both sides of the plate T2050, 1980 average rpm.
CB: 68-70 mph. CB showed good shape, If he can get it to the glove side it will produce outs T2196, 2028 average rpm.
CH: 72-73 mph. Good speed difference, Looks like his FB, Commanded it well T1521, 1450 average rpm.

Jesse Owens, Davidson Academy (TN), 2028
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 6-1, 178-pounds. Tall lenky frame, Has long limbs that he's still developing into his game
Delivery: Slower and controlled windup to leg lift, Speeds up as he gets down the mound. Good extension into foot strike
Arm Action: RH. Arm works well, comes from a high over the top slot
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. His slot and IVB indicates his FB will play at the top of the zone, Will setup his secondary pitches well T2050, 1908 average rpm.
CB: 70-71 mph. CB is thrown hard, Had late depth, Profiles well with FB T1960, 1886 average rpm.
CH: 68-70 mph. Kills spin on this pitch well, Commanded it in the zone, Will get LHH off the FB T1591, 1491 average rpm.

Cooper Hart, Fred J Page (TN), 2025 Chattanooga State CC
Positional Profile: LHP/LHP
Body: 6-0, 209-pounds. Big frame, Strong lower body that will be the foundation to keep building on
Delivery: Worked only out the stretch, Has a big lean with his front hip to get down the mound, Has some funk that can play up his pitches
Arm Action: LH. Keeps the ball hidden well- could allow FB to feel harder, Lower 3/4 arm action, Long arm action
FB: T83, 82-83 mph. Ball was in the zone consistently, Created good angle to the glove side T1848, 1707 average rpm.
CB: 66-68 mph. Showed good feel for CB, Big break to it, His ability to land it for a strike is a major strength T2068, 1941 average rpm.
SL: 69-72 mph. SL has late break, Will create a lot of weak contact T2151, 2091 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. Good feel for CH, Works off his FB well, Good fade to arm side T1559, 1481 average rpm.

Nathan Dussault, TN, Spring Hill - Battle Creek High School (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: 1B/LHP
Body: 5-9, 220-pounds. Compact build, Shows athletic actions with a ton of physical development left to come
Delivery: Big leg lift in his windup, Allows his lead hip to take him down the mound, Hides the ball well
Arm Action: LH. Shorter arm action, Keeps the ball hidden, Slot is high 3/4 arm close to his ear
FB: T78, 75-77 mph. FB has good steep angle to it, Showed some good arm side run T1642, 1608 average rpm.
SL: 69-71 mph. SL has depth, Developing command for the pitch T2091, 2042 average rpm.
CH: 70-71 mph. CH has a similar profile to his FB, Good speed and spin difference T1193, 1133 average rpm.
