AB: Valero, Macko Give Alberta Rare Draft Attention
Canada typically has a draft prospect or two to follow, but they usually hail from Ontario. This year, two of the country’s top prospects are from Alberta. SS Cesar Valero (Okotoks Dawgs Academy, AB) has an athletic build and a loose, effortless swing. He is committed to Oregon State. LHP Adam Macko (Vauxhall HS, AB) has a simple, clean delivery and can pitch in the high 80s while showing feel for a curveball and changeup. He is committed to Purdue.
