Future Games: Day 3 Recap
August 5, 2020
Team Arizona made it to Emerson, GA for the 2020 PBR Future Games. The event has officially come to a close at the LakePoint Sports Complex, widely considered as the best venue in the country for amateur baseball. PBR had selected some of the top uncommitted 2022 & 2023 grad prospects from around the country to compete in this premier event. Team Arizona brought 19 players that were all looking to show off their talent to the rest of the nation, PBR scouting staff and college coaches from around the country. All games were live streamed through Playsight on the Future Games homepage where scouts can follow prospective athletes.
On Saturday, August 1st Team Arizona started off their schedule with a pro-style workout where they showed off some of their individuals tools and recorded measurable statistics. These sessions were videotaped and will go on individual PBR profile pages along with showcase data and scouting notes throughout the week. After the workout portion completed, teams spent the next two days competing in live game action versus the other PBR select teams from around the country. Arizona started off its competition on August 2nd where they took two wins in a doubleheader, taking on Team California & Team PNW. On day three, Arizona took another win to finish the event undefeated, edging Team Nevada in a close battle.
