Baseball has grown on Jack Moss.

And Moss has grown in the game.

How much so? Before the sophomore at Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village joins the Bruins varsity this spring, faces his first pitch or has a ball hit his way by an upperclassmen, he will have committed verbally to Virginia’s Cavaliers.

He pledged to the Cavs, who have made the collegiate postseason for 15 consecutive seasons, won it all in 2015 and were runner-up in 2014, on Nov. 5.
