It’s a debate that has been on-going for decades. 

Should kids play more than one sport, particularly those pursuing opportunities to take their preferred game to the highest level?

Dave Mumper, a former high-school baseball coach and part-time scout for the Chicago White Sox, didn’t hesitate when asked.

It’s a resounding yes, he insists.

Mumper, who spent time at local schools, including at the openings of both Highlands Ranch and ThunderRidge, said it’s a necessity for players at new schools for obvious reasons, but the benefits to players can be immeasurable.
