Draft League Spotlight: Ben Norman
March 19, 2021
Player: Ben Norman
Position: CF
School: Iowa
The 6-foot-2, 200 pound outfielder uses all fields at the plate with consistent, hard contact and exit velos into the 100s. He has a balanced stroke with good bat speed and sees the ball extremely well. Norman is also a plus runner underway and average defender with below average arm strength. He can handle the big field, but may be best suited to left at the pro level. As a fifth-year senior he doesn’t have age on his side, but in drafts past he would be an ideal top 10 round money-saver pick who could provide immediate performance and protect the younger prospects on a club.
