PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
DERMODY: Iowa Central CC, Southwestern CC, Marshalltown CC, Morningside, Northwest Missouri State, Ellsworth, Luther, Central, Northwestern College, Mount Mercy, Concordia (Chicago).
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
DERMODY: I am visiting Iowa Central this week and Southwestern next week. I am waiting until after football season to visit more schools. I plan to visit Northwest Missouri State and maybe Mount Mercy and Morningside.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
DERMODY: I am not sure on a major yet but am considering health careers like physical therapy or nursing. Right now I am considering junior colleges mostly because academically I can get my core classes done and decide later on a major. I also like the idea of pitching at a junior college so I can get a couple years to grow, get stronger and improve as a pitcher.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
DERMODY: For stats my biggest highlight was having 58 Ks in 38 innings pitched. I served as a closer at the beginning of the year and I really enjoyed it. I had a no hitter through 6 innings against Kuemper but had to come out because of pitch count. I had a back injury in the middle of the year, but otherwise I felt like my velocity was up and my slider really developed. I also received 1st Team All-Conference and All-City among other awards.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
DERMODY: First, I just want to enjoy my senior year and playing with my friends one last time. We have a lot of seniors that have played together since we were 11 years old so it will be great playing one last time. For a team I want to go to state. We have a lot of talent coming back and feel like we can play with anyone. Personally I want to lead the team innings, strikeouts, wins and pitch like a true ace.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
DERMODY: I play football, basketball and run track.
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
DERMODY: My GPA is 3.4 and I am taking the ACT later this month.
