Week Seven on the trail took me up and down Interstate 57 with the first stop in Charleston, Ill. to see a helium bat from Eastern Illinois in a midweek contest. Continuing into the weekend I headed south to Carbondale for a Missouri Valley Conference matchup between the 19-3 Southern Illinois Salukis and the Illinois State Redbirds. My last stop was in Champaign for a Big Ten matchup between Illinois and Nebraska, hoping to get my eyes on the two-way talent of Huskers’ star Spencer Schwellenbach.
