Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week  of the 2025 spring season. 

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jamaurion McQueen OF / OF / Brandon High School, MS / 2025 McQueen had a very productive week for the Bulldogs going 7 for 10 with 3 doubles, 2 triples, 5 stolen bases, 7 runs scored, and 8 runs batted in. The South Alabama signee is hitting .456 with 11 doubles, 16 stolen bases, and 21 RBI's.

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Talon Haley LHP / OF / Lewisburg, MS / 2025 Haley, a Super 60 participant in February, threw 5 1/3 innings last week, allowing no hits, with 15 total strikeouts in a win over Southaven. The Vanderbilt signee has been dominant this Spring with 19 1/3 innings, allowing just 6 hits, 1 run, with 46 strikeouts.
