Zander Buchan, C, Maine South HS, IL
The 5-foot-8, 175-pound, well-proportioned, switch-hitter is one of the top catchers in Illinois’ 2022 class. Offensively, he handles the bat equally as well from both sides of the plate. He has loose hands, present bat speed and swings with intent. Defensively, he is a highly-advanced receiver, athletic out of the crouch and features a strong, accurate arm.
