Vanderbilt picked up two recruits in Tennessee recently in RHP Mason Hickman (Pope John Paul II HS, TN) and RHP Corbin Brooksbank (McCallie HS, TN). Hickman, who stands at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds, proved to be one of the top arms in the 2017 class during Tennessee’s state tournament when he touched 89 mph and mixed in a sharp breaking ball at 74-76. In a 1-0 loss to the eventual Division II-AA state champion Christian Brothers HS, Hickman struck out 14. He has reportedly been up to 92 this summer.
