HEADLINER:

Noah Wilson OF / RHP / McCallie, TN / 2026

Robbed of his spring season by a hand injury suffered in the preseason, Wilson looked hungry and unaffected by the layoff with his performance at the NPI. The 6-foot, 190-pound center fielder went 4-for-7 with two triples and a home run while striking out just once against two walks. Phone booth movements in the box from the left side allow a heavy barrel to impact the ball with almost surprising force. His home run was belted three-quarters of the way up the batter’s eye and allowed his top-of-the-class speed to shine. Routinely taking turns at 4.1, there is precision to athleticism and burst out of the box, and he appears to propel the ground away as he strides. The bat-to-ball was much further along than it should have been after such a long layoff, but at this point, Wilson’s track record for production cannot be ignored. There is impact potential given the power outputs, but the speed applies perpetual pressure on the defense and should help pacify any potential slumps. Hardly changing facial expressions at any time on the diamond, his 110% style of a play gives off a perceived minimal level of effort, and the summer could ultimately provide a proving ground for early Day 1 consideration for the Vanderbilt recruit and Tennessee native.

Buzz Worthy:

+ 3B/RHP Coleman Borthwick (USA Prime/Aces National)
It will ultimately be up to whatever team drafts him to decide, as Borthwick has made it nearly impossible to dictate which side of the ball holds his greatest value. At 6-foot-6, 254-pounds of imposing, durable strength, he should not be able to move as freely as he does, and the simplicity of his right-handed stroke should not generate the huge power outputs that it does. The Auburn recruit went 7-for-13 with a double, triple, and mammoth home run that cleared the famed bubble at Lakepoint. Setting up slightly open in an athletic crouch, a shorter leg kick separates the hands fluidly from the ear into a power position before a tight approach exhibits effortless bat speed and lag in the zone. He body control, and especially the ability to control the forward move while maintaining balance, is impressive, and he effortlessly gets to his highest end power to all fields.

Aggressive on the mound, he features the quick, whippy arm stroke of a shortstop, and powered fastballs at a bullying 93-96 with some sizzling action to the bottom of the zone. A tighter sweeper was seen in this look at 82-85, flashing wipeout potential with tunneling attributes. He also demonstrated some feel for a developing changeup at 82 mph. One of the better strike throwers in the class, he struck out three in 2.2 innings allowing just one hit. Borthwick routinely gets tossed into difficult situations because his low-pulse competitiveness allows him to thrive in spots where others falter. Any professional scout heading out to see Borthwick this summer (and beyond) will want to do so with the understanding that there are few that are as comfortable in any situation as the big two-way prospect, and he is FAR more than just a big, strong body.

+ OF Trevor Condon (USA Prime/Aces National)
Already praised by Prep Baseball as being one of the more alluring talents in the class coming into the summer, Condon immediately opened eyes at the NPI with a leadoff missile off a 96 mph fastball. Routinely flirting with triple digits with every swing, any concerns about the pre pitch uniqueness were quickly pacified as he was perpetually in a powerful hitting position at approach. There is electric bat speed to go along with a surprisingly heavy barrel from the 5-foot-10, 160-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder, and the ball sounded different off of his bat Playing at full-tilt at all times there is a miniature Pete Crow-Armstrong-esq vibe to the way that he handles himself on the diamond. Condon finished the week 5-for-14 with 3BB:2K, and started off his marquee MLB Draft summer with a bang.
