Davis Wilson
Roseville, CA - It all started with a trip down to Fresno, California during the Spring high school season. Two days were spent in the area watching a lot of quality baseball, one of the main reasons for the trip was to see Davis Wilson start on the bump against Buchanan High School. Wilson went 5 IP with a BB and 3 ER against a gritty lineup, though the outing wasn’t his best, it was enough to get an invite to the NorCal ProCase at the end of the high school season. Wilson topped out at 93mph that day, showcasing a mixture of off-speed pitches, and his ability to keep competing through the lineup, that’s the part where he really separated himself.
NorCal ProCase
Wilson was nothing short of spectacular in his six batters he faced at the NorCal ProCase, a lot of the top talent in the area were in attendance, who were all mostly committed to a Division 1 program. The exciting part about the ProCase event is that it involves gameplay, which gives the players a chance to show their skills in a gameplay setting.
Wilson finished his outing by striking out five of the six hitters with ease, while sitting in the 90-92 range. This was where the “Big League Cutter” was on full display and was a huge weapon for him, when dominating the hitters. Some may describe it as a slider, but after talking to Wilson he throws both a slider and a cutter. From here, Wilson earned his invite to the Future Games for team NorCal as the game 1 starter against a very stacked South Texas squad.
Future Games: Team NorCal
Wilson got the start on the mound as the Game One Starter against one of the two Texas teams that were in the pod. Over 200+ scouts were in attendance for this game all crowded behind the backstop, their starter was also a high profile arm, so everyone in the stands knew it was going to be a pitching battle. Wilson never dropped below 91mph, he was filling up every quadrant in the zone, every off-speed thrown was competitive and generated a ton of swing and miss, it was truly impressive to watch from the dugout.
Prep Baseball AAG
The 2025 Prep Baseball All-American game featured the nation’s best talent in the ‘27 & ‘26 classes, Wilson was fortunate enough to step on the big stage and perform in one of the most premier events of the year. Wilson stuck to the script and proved that if you're patient, everything will pan out the way it should.
Vandy Commitment
Wilson recently committed to Vanderbilt University. From seeing him in the high school season, to where he is now, it’s really impressive how fast Wilson got in front of the right people. He’s got two more high school seasons left, and the crazy part is that he’s only going to get better.
