2020 Draft: Top Hitters To Know

With Opening Day for Division I baseball less than five weeks away and prep baseball in the southern states also just right around the corner, we present the 2020 MLB Draft Names to Know. These are just a few of the hitting prospects who scouts will flock to see early and often this spring.

Pete Crow-Armstrong, OF, Harvard-Westlake HS, CA
A polished and instinctual Vanderbilt recruit with a sweet left-handed swing and above average defense in center field. He can hit to all fields and has developing power. He has been a mainstay in Harvard-Westlake’s lineup since his freshman year.

Nick Gonzales, 2B, New Mexico State
In just two years the 5-foot-10, 190 pound right-handed hitter has gone from an overlooked prep to arguably the top pure hitter in college baseball. He jumped squarely into first round conversations after an excellent Cape Cod season last summer. A well rounded prospect, his bat with a short, sweet stroke and good bat speed is his top tool.
