Stands a physical, barrel-chested at 6-foot-0, 170-pounds with athleticism throughout and plenty of projection in the frame/profile. Balanced load with present bat speed through the zone and strength in the hands/wrists stands out. Budding impact in the barrel as he produced an average (85.5) and a max (97.6) exit velocities. Myers looks poised to carve out a quality role in the box for the Bears this Spring.

Everett Grubbs, SS/RHP, 2027, Pickens

Stands a wiry and lean 5-foot-11, 153-pounds with present athleticism throughout the profile. At the plate, the RHH shows fluid hands with length and ability to move the barrel around the zone with bat-to-ball skills as he posted a max (89.2) exit velocity. Athletic actions in the dirt as well with soft hands and arm strength to match. Finished second in the event with easy, accurate throws across the diamond to first-base at (82 MPH) IF velo without reaching back for more. Provided a deceptive look on the mound with pitchability and much more to project with added size/strength as well. Operates from a low slot with whippy arm speed and excellent feel for a deep four-pitch mix that all play extremely well off one another. Fastball lived 83-84 (HM 22.8) and sinker at 83 (HM 24.9) as he consistently landed both on the inner half to RHH. Changeup tunneled with late-depth and arm-side fade at 77-78 (HM 26.2). Innate feel to spin frisbee sliders at 70-72 (2500+ RPM). Grubbs boasts strong in-game intangibles and will look to contribute in a multitude of ways to Pickens success this season.

6-foot-0, 155.6 pounds, Thornton showed a well-rounded skillset with obvious comfort for both aspects of the game. At the dish, he features a smooth and low swing that consistently manufactures line drives. Spraying the ball to all fields with balance and control, the young MIF has a plus hit tool. Pitching, the four-seamer is his main weapon with a two-seam fastball to compliment and give hitters a different look. The slider showed sharp movement and late action, while his changeup gives a legitimate third option, breaking in an opposite direction. Works around the zone very well, using off-speed that starts on the plate and ends off. With Thronton’s strong feel for the game, the Sophomore has a bright future at Blessed Trinity.

Amari Altice, 2B/RHP, 2029, Mountain View
At 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds, the 2B from Mountain View HS had an impressive offensive showing centered around contact and control. Despite his smaller frame, future maturity and growth are inevitable to be key to unlocking even more. Altice found the barrel at a rate of 67%, knuckling line drives to every part of the field, staying through the ball. His flat bat and great bat-to-ball skills profile the Freshman as a high contact table setter at the top of a lineup. As his current exit velocities mature, the clean and repeatable swing add upside as he begins to fill out his frame. A refreshing look from a young bat who enjoys controlling the barrel, shows great offensive tools to build on moving forward, and a confident, loose player.
