FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Preseason All-State Upperclass Showcase travels to IVSA where this invite-only event that features the top prospects from the 2026 and 2027 grad classes. Every year, the Preseason All-State Showcase highlights the "Who’s Who" of the Georgia baseball landscape. This event is limited and exclusive to the top prospects in Georgia and serves as a springboard as you enter the high school season. Throughout the week we will be pumping out the content from this event.

Today, we take a closer look at some of the top catcher performers from the event on Sunday. ⤵️


Preseason All-State Upperclass Quick Hits- Catchers 

MJ Lane, C, 2027, Jones County
Uncommitted. Lane boasts present twitch in an athletic 5-foot-8, 171-pound frame with tools throughout. Advanced barrel feel from both sides of the plate as he shows tremendous ability to rotate with quick, direct hands through the zone and posted an average (90.0) and a max (96.2) exit velocities, with a max distance of 342ft. Defensively, Lane shows athleticism in the crouch with strong receiving and arm strength to match (1.90-2.03 pop time/ 77 C Velo). It’s a high floor profile with gamer intangibles throughout and Lane will be a major factor for the Greyhounds this Spring.

Brody Bohannon, C/OF, 2027, Blessed Trinity
Uncommitted. It was a strong all-around showing for Bohannon on Saturday. Stands an athletic, broad-shouldered 5-foot-10, 176-pounds with present tools across the board. At the plate, the RHH lived on the barrel as he worked up the middle-of-the-field. Gets into his lower half well and creates good separation as he stays balanced through the zone. Stays extremely compact with present bat speed and barrel feel alike. Average (93.9) and max (97.1) exit velocities. The defensive tools are equally as loud with versatility across the diamond as he posted a 81 C Velo and a pop time of 1.99-2.09. Bohannon will have a chance to make a real impact in a multitude of ways for the defending state champs this spring.

Jackson Lewachowicz, C/2B, 2027, Alexander
Uncommitted. Consistent barrels with line-drive after line-drive for Lewachowicz. Stands at 5-foot-9, 161-pounds with some strength to project. Well-connected RH cut with whip in the barrel present and excellent length in-zone as he shows strong ability to match plane. Finished the round with an average (90.1) and a max (94.1) exit velocity. Strong defender behind the plate as well as he posted a 1.95-2.00 pop time and a 78 C Velo.

Skyler Lee, C, 2027, North Paulding
The uncommitted junior continues to look the part as he provided yet another strong look this off-season. Physical 6-foot-1, 190-pounds with an abundance of strength throughout and potent RH cut. Shows simple actions with great leverage and present bat speed through the zone, and real impact in the barrel to match. Quality actions defensively as well as he finished with a 79 C Velo and a 1.96-2.00 pop-time. Posted an average (94.3) and a max (101.9) exit velocity. Will be a major piece for the Wolfpack this year with a breakout in the cards.

Bryce Carter, C, 2027, Parkview
Uncommitted. The Parkview backstop exudes projection in an athletic, barrel-chested 5-foot-11, 189-pounds and boasts present tools throughout. Lived on the barrel in a gap-to-gap approach as he shows excellent balance with good barrel length and huge bat speed through the zone. Finished with an average (91.3) and a max (97.7) exit velocities along with a max distance of 349ft. Behind the plate, Carter holds present athleticism and put together a quality showing with a 2.00-2.07 pop-time. Carter will look to carry an everyday role at a premium position for one of the perennial powerhouses in the state.

Logan Peralta, C/3B, 2027, Dacula
Uncommitted. 5-foot-8, 170 pounds, showed an advanced defensive presence behind the plate. Sets up in a slightly open, shoulder-width stance with the hands resting low at the right shoulder, loading into a short stride with a strong, controlled move through contact. The swing is driven by a powerful upper body, creating multiple hard contact points. Defensively, posted a 79.0 mph catcher velocity with snappy, over-the-top throws and a quick, efficient arm action. Very quick feet and clean transfers produced a quickest pop time of 2.02, highlighting high-level catch-and-throw ability and overall athleticism for the position.

Chip Glogorski, C/RHP, 2026, Kings Ridge Christian
Georgia College & State University Commit. The strong 5-foot-11, 198 pound Chip Glogorski from Kings Ridge Christian put on a loud explosive hitting display Sunday night. The Georgia College and State University commit’s strong frame with present bat speed produced electric metrics for his BP round. Averaged 92.9 exit velocity, topping out at 102.0. A strong overall performance from Glogorski showcasing an impressive pop time range of 1.93-1.97 seconds and throwing down with a velo of 82 mph. Spring can't come soon enough for Kings Ridge Christian and Glogorski.

Jordan Stokes, C/3B, 2026, McEachern
Uncommitted. The athletic 6-foot, 183 pound Jordan Stokes put on an impressive performance over the weekend. Ran one of the fastest 30-yard times for the catcher group in 3.87 seconds. His athleticism was also displayed, producing a pop time range of 1.90-1.95. A maturing, strong arm was evident throwing down to second with accuracy at 78mph. At the plate, Stokes had a great round of BP showing his quick, strong hands with a feel of the barrel. Had an exit velocity of 100.0. A ton of upside is there for Stokes and he looks ready for the spring season.
