Team Preview
The Sulphur Tors enter 2026 embracing both a youthful roster and an unmistakable edge built on work ethic, competitiveness, and team-first mentality. Coach Thomas Tillery’s club may lack experience on paper, but the Tors are one of the most cohesive and versatile groups in southwest Louisiana—which has a chance to pay off as this group matures throughout the spring. With a demanding schedule and a deep crop of underclassmen ready to contribute, Sulphur expects to grow quickly and position themselves as a dangerous postseason team once again.
Sulphur prides itself on being extremely tight-knit, and that chemistry is expected to translate to clean baseball, high-energy play, and the ability to overcome early growing pains. The roster is athletic and flexible, allowing Coach Tillery to mix-and-match lineups while developing players at multiple positions.
There is no hiding the fact that this Tors roster is young—exceptionally young. Several sophomores and freshmen are expected to play meaningful roles, and while the talent is real, learning how to navigate 5A baseball will take time. The non-district schedule is designed to accelerate that growth.
Top Returning Players
-Senior LHP/OF Carter Wilson: Returns as the unquestioned ace and anchor of the program. The McNeese State recruit pitched to the tune of a 2.20 ERA with 57 K's across 53 innings pitched last spring. A seasoned and veteran southpaw, Wilson has logged high-leverage innings since his sophomore year and has proven he can beat any lineup in the state with a polished five-pitch mix. He’s taken significant strides offensively this offseason and will hit at the top of the order, using his athleticism to impact the game on the bases as well. A leader in every sense, Wilson will be the steadying presence for this young roster.
-Senior LHP/OF Adam Daigle: Provides experience and another left-handed look both on the mound and in the outfield. He’s expected to take a step forward offensively and play a more expanded role as a senior.
-Junior INF Cole Trahan: A high-IQ, highly versatile piece who played all over the field as a sophomore. Trahan’s instincts and competitive nature give him a chance to break out in 2026 and become one of the more consistent producers on the roster.
-Sophomore 1B/OF Noah Courtney: Transformed his body over the offseason and looks primed for a major jump. With real power potential, he’s expected to hit in the middle of the order and solidify himself as a run-producing threat.
Additional Impact Upperclassmen
-Junior INF/RHP Brody Beddoe: Has seen one of the biggest developmental jumps on the roster. He drives the baseball with authority and provides intrigue on the mound with a low ¾ release, heavy ASR, and an 81–84 mph fastball complemented by a 70–73 mph slider. He can start or relieve and should see big innings.
2027 Brody Beddoe (Sulphur HS) took some good swings today and finished with 3 QAB’s.

Long levers with plenty of projection still left for the @PB_Uncommitted junior.

-Junior RHP Will Riley: After missing last season due to eligibility, Riley returns with momentum. He features an 82–85 mph fastball (T88) with developing feel for both a slider and changeup. The expectation is that he will slot into the starting rotation.
-Junior RHP Laiton Jones: One of the strongest and most athletic players in the program. Jones competes fearlessly with a full three-pitch arsenal and has the potential to be a major piece on the mound for multiple years as his command sharpens.
Underclassmen To Watch
-Sophomore UTL Brody Trahan: Arguably the most versatile player in the program. Trahan can play anywhere on the field and will fill whatever role is needed at a high level. His adaptability will be invaluable as the Tors navigate a young lineup.
2028 C/INF Brody Trahan (Sulphur HS) had a solid showing today and is a guy that we’re excited to see again in the future.

Wiry & athletic 5-10, 155-pounds frame.
Switch-hitter, works short to long from both sides with a fluid path, and an all fields approach.

-Sophomore RHP/INF Brock Trahan: One of the highest-upside underclassmen in Southwest Louisiana. A frontline arm with an 85–87 mph fastball and a sharp 75–77 mph slider, Brock also projects as a middle-of-the-order bat with real power potential. A future foundational player for the program.

Physical two-way sophomore for the Tors who has looked the part on both sides today.

Allowed one hit with 2 K’s on the mound. Heavy FB with feel for a sharp SL… pic.twitter.com/2hQYZjsYpP
-Sophomore UTL/RHP Dalton Shirley: High motor, gritty, and ultra-competitive. Shirley saw time as a pinch runner last spring and brings elite speed, making him a threat to beat out routine plays. Expect him to be an everyday contributor in 2026.
-Sophomore LHP/OF/1B Tucker Little: Competed in big spots as a freshman in 2025. Little provides two-way upside with a quick, flat swing and the ability to attack hitters on the mound. Another multi-sport athlete with toughness and competitiveness.
2028 Tucker Little (Sulphur HS) is another sophomore that has a chance to make an impact for the Tors this spring.

Simple swing with a really flat path. Drove a FB the other way for a line drive RBI single in his second at-bat this morning. Hard-nosed player 👍 #BeSeen… pic.twitter.com/kUz7Z4pEi5
-Sophomore C/1B Brennan Baker: Has developed quickly behind the plate and has begun to take command of the pitching staff. His baseball IQ and hunger to improve make him an intriguing long-term catcher.
-Sophomore LHP/1B Bryce Walker: A transfer from Beaumont Kelly who has made noticeable strides physically. If his development continues, he could carve out important innings and at-bats this season.
-Sophomore LHP/OF Parker Debord: One of the most consistent hitters from the fall with advanced bat-to-ball skills and an aggressive, fearless approach. Profiles as a three-year starter if his strength continues to trend upward.
-Sophomore UTL Bryson Hardy: Elite athlete with game-changing speed. Though still raw, he consistently makes impact plays and could earn meaningful time if his development continues.
-Freshman INF/RHP Weston Landry: The former Junior Future Gamer has a chance to make varsity impact immediately as a freshman. His 83–85 mph fastball and feel for spin stand out for his age, and he boasts true infield actions with arm strength across the diamond. A four-year impact player in the making. Colleges need to take note.

-Freshman C/RHP Cooper Peterson: Currently recovering from injury but expected back before the season. Peterson owns a strong arm behind the plate and will develop quickly once he adjusts to varsity speed.
Outlook
The 2026 Sulphur Tors might be one of the youngest teams in the state—but also one of the most intriguing. Their early-season learning curve may be steep, but the long-term potential is enormous. This group is unified, highly competitive, and has embraced the challenge of playing 5A baseball at an early age.
With Carter Wilson setting the tone, a handful of key juniors, and underclassmen ready to step forward, the Tors could be a much different—and much more dangerous—team by the time district play arrives.
If Sulphur continues to master the fundamentals, throw strikes, and capitalize on timely hitting, this young group has the chance to grow into a contender not just this year, but for the next several seasons. Expect the Tors to be one of the most exciting long-term stories in Louisiana high school baseball.
