The Commitment Corner spotlights those Maryland high school student-athletes who have made their decision on where to play their college baseball. This is a unique opportunity to get to know several of the states top talent and gain insight into their recruitment process and ultimately what made them choose the school they did.  Today we speak with: Tyler Locklear

PBR MD:  Why did you choose VCU?

• Fantastic baseball program with excellent facilities and VCU had a good program for my major.

PBR MD:  What do you plan to major in at VCU?

• Exercise Science

PBR MD:  What are some of your goals you would like to achieve at VCU?

• To maintain a GPA above 3.5, win the Conference and ultimately a National Championship, get drafted after my junior year.

PBR MD:  What are your plans this summer to get ready for school?

• Complete all of my summer work and continue to enhance my study habits.

PBR MD:  Are you playing summer baseball? If yes, who are you planning to play for?

• Yes, Richmond Braves

PBR MD:  What other schools recruited you?

• Towson, Gardner Webb

PBR MD:  What was your favorite part about the recruiting process?

• Touring the various campuses.
