2023 MLB Draft: Rising College Hitter Buzz

A handful of prospects started the preseason ranked inside our Draft Board 200 and have steadily risen up industry draft boards. Nolan Schanuel (Florida Atlantic) is having a monster season, producing a .458/.604/.885 slash with 10 home runs, 34 RBI and almost three times as many walks (30) as strikeouts (11). SEC standouts Calvin Harris (Ole Miss) and Josh Rivera (Florida) are also on the rise, while BIG Tenners Luke Shliger (Maryland) and Max Anderson (Nebraska) have also received industry helium.

There have also been several others who began the season not our initial draft board, but are all showing pro-caliber tools, producing at high levels and gaining helium for this summer’s draft. Let’s take a look at nine of them below.
