The Missouri high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 20, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight: “The top of our pitching staff I feel can be a strength for us. We had 3 guys last year in Rosenburg, Kelch, and Fisher, that contributed big and effective innings for us as sophomores. Those three will battle it out early for who gets the conference starts. Offensively, I feel our top of the lineup is going to be solid. Guys like Hollrah, Daniel, and Kelch give us a good core, while guys like Ditmeyer and Rosenburg we will look to to take that next step. Our bottom half of the order is going to be something I am interested to see play out in the first few weeks of practice along with games leading up to conference play. We have quite a few guys either with promise or past success that didn't replicate that success last year. I'm excited to see who will step up and seize those roles. I am also interested to see what the depth of our pitching staff looks like. There are a few guys that will need to make the jump from success on JV to being effective on Varsity. Whether or not that takes place could be a huge difference maker for us this season. ” – Branden Sugar, head coach
