West Rowan Dominates Northwest Guilford 11-0 in Run-Rule Victory
West Rowan delivered a commanding 11-0 win over Northwest Guilford in a five-inning, run-rule game at Finch Field on March 8. Playing in windy conditions with gusts up to 25 mph, the Falcons capitalized on their offensive opportunities, exploding for six runs in the second inning and adding four more in the third to put the game out of reach.
The highlight of the game came in the second inning when Cole Blevins crushed a three-run homer over the left-centerfield scoreboard. Maddox Moore followed up in the third with a two-run double, pushing the lead to 9-0.
On the mound, Chase Fisher earned the win with three strong innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four. Brant Graham closed the game with two shutout innings, allowing only one hit.
For Northwest Guilford, Donovan Smith and Matt Villarrubia each recorded a hit, but the Vikings struggled to generate offense against West Rowan’s dominant pitching.
