College Crosscheck: Week Four Pitchers

PALO ALTO- Trying to escape the chill of the eastern two-thirds of the United States in Week Four, I headed to the West Coast to see the only weekend matchup in the country between two Top 25 teams. It was still a bit on the cool side, but No. 12 Texas at No. 6 Stanford, as well as a drive into the City for a couple games at the University of San Francisco, provided plenty of talented pitching prospects.
No. 29 Erik Miller, LHP, Stanford- Tall, large framed lefty at 6-foot-4, 240 pounds. Pitches exclusively from the stretch on the far third base side of the rubber. Keeps his delivery very simple; tall and fall with no extra movements. Sets his hands at the belt and lifts just a bit to create some rhythm before hand break into a full arm path. Hides the ball well throughout his path and releases from a high three-quarter slot. Has a smaller leg lift to slightly below his waist, just enough to create some flow in his delivery. Works...
