The offensive upside and athletic profile project him as a true middle-of-the-ordder-threat.
We recently had the chance to talk to Davison about his recruitment process, along with some other fun topics, below.
Our Q&A
Prep Baseball: What do you like most about the program you chose, and what were the key factors in making your decision?
Tanner: What stood out to me the most about Arkansas was the culture and family they have. There’s no doubt they get some of the best players in the country and a top program every year but the way they develop their players into great people is something I really wanted to be apart of. At the end of the day, Baseball is just a game but the lessons you learn from it are what make you into the kind of person you become.
PB: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are?
T: Just put your head down and grind. There are always going to be bumps in the road but it’s about how you persevere through those challenges. You really only need discipline and confidence to make the best out of yourself.
PB: Did location or distance from home play a factor in your decision?
T: Location was definitely a part of why I chose Arkansas. Being so close to campus allows my family to come to pretty much any home game and that is just special to me. My family has done everything and beyond for me and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
PB: Was there a particular Prep Baseball tournament or showcase that helped accelerate your recruiting process? If yes, how so?
T: I think the Prep Baseball future games was just an awesome event that allowed my recruiting process to start on the right foot. The event Being a few days before August 1st really allowed me to show coaches what I brought to the table before they could reach out.
PB: Who is the next talented young player to keep an eye on out of your high school or travel program?
T: Parker Wiles who is apart of my travel program who is a little bit younger is a baller. He can really swing it for a high school player but especially for a 2029. He can pick it at short too so watch out for him as he grows and develops through high school.
